The VOICE awards for safety of Vulnerable Road Users in traffic accidents have been given to Luxembourg (positive) and Poland (negative).
Pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users make only 14% of all the victims killed in road accidents in Luxembourg, while this number is as high as 50% in Poland, as revealed in the newly-released report "Injuries to Vulnerable Road Users Including Falls in Pedestrians in the EU" by KfV, the Austrian Road Safety Board, co-financed by DG SANCO.
The awards take the form of original cartoons.
