The Machine and Vehicle Systems Department gives courses for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as for doctorate students. Furthermore, we provide courses mainly for the automotive industry. The department consists of four divisions: Crash Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, Mechanical Systems and Mechatronics. Our research focuses on vehicle safety, both active and passive. The research projects are both fundamental and applied and often done in collaboration with national and/or international industries.
Our department has been a member of ETSC since the late 1990s. Through ETSC, we have access very good information, which we can use in our teaching activities and as background information for our research, and also as input for our future research strategies.
