VOICE City Safety and Mobility Awards

Two cities, Nantes in France and Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, received VOICE Awards for enhancing safety and improving mobility of Vulnerable Road Users.

For years Nantes has been active in developing public transport, freeing road congestion, creating new pedestrian areas and promoting walking bus concept.

The awards take the form of original cartoons drawn by artist Dagmara Pater.

On its part, Hradec Králové realised in 2006 an important road space reallocation project, separating motorised and non-motorised traffic in a part of the city and thus improving safety of cyclists, blind and visually impaired citizens.
